If you have a 10' diameter sunny area in your yard you can heat your pool water.
This simple system raised our pool water 15-20 degrees in just a few sunny days.
Living in Western Washington State, when we open our pool in April
the water always took weeks to swim semi comfortably.
But now everyone can enjoy the pool in about a week.
This system works by taking the cold water from the pool
and circulating it through the sun warmed pipe.
As the water in the pipe is warmed by the sun,
the pool pump pushes the water back into the pool
and warms the pool water.
You are buying plans which include a parts list and step by step instructions.
Over 25 years ago I purchased a swimming pool for my family home.. Gas heat didn't seem practical at the time as I was also paying the power company for my Summer Air Conditioning and the extra for the pool heat didn't seem right. 
So I invented a Solar Heater for my pool that used black poly pipe and cost under $150.00 to build and heated over 30,000 gallons of water. It took many tries and different applications, but finally I did have a working model, and my family, neighbors and friends loved it. (Actually I must have installed at least seven of the heaters in my neighborhood) I saw an advertisement for a energy cconservation contest by Montogomery Wards out of Chicago and I entered my pool heater.. After two years of several Eastern Colleges checking out the entrees my pool heater won third place in the U S A ! Very exciting, and just recently my son, 25 years later, bought a 3500 gallon above ground for his young family, and I designed and installed our "Sunfree" heater in less than an hour. Cost $118.00 buying everything needed at Home Depot in just a few minutes. This is so simple that you can actually place the coils of poly-pipe up to 100 feet away from the pool and bury the run of pipe to the pool. It lays flat on the ground and is just so easy to do. The poly pipe price almost knocked me over, but I guess doubling in price after 25 years isn't too bad. When I was in the hay day of designing and installing solar systems back in the late 70's and early 80's the Federal Government would give great rebates, so there was almost no out of pocket costs at all.I also will share a few really neat suggestions on how to fill your pool or hot tub with free hot water, and also how to make your pool into a passive solar collector and working for you just sitting in your back yard with no pumps running at all!
For This Application I used 2 Runs of 500 ft. each.
This did a perfect job for this 18 ft diameter by 4 ft deep pool.
I used three runs of 900 ft each for a 36 by 18 by 5 ft deep above ground pool
So far, using this system for hundreds of different sized above and in ground pools
1800 ft of Poly Pipe is the most I have ever recommended.
The photo above is me back in the 70's with my 1800 ft of pipe coiled in a 10 foot diameter area.
Not beautiful, but I landscaped around it and had free hot water for many years
and have had the privilege of heating many other pools for the free solar heat !!
